Re: St. Francis Brooklyn Eliminates Athletics Program
My understanding of SFC was their niche was first generation immigrants - like the whole (or vast majority) of the school was immigrants - so the "too many foreigners" argument doesn't really apply as the team's composition matches the school's makeup. Sad to see but understandable, athle...

Two NCAA tickets punched out East:
Princeton over St. Francis 13-8 and Fordham over Bucknell 14-7.

Re: RIP Coach D
I remember having the opportunity to chat with him through Water Polo Planet’s talking water polo show (I did a written interview with him as well that I loved writing). It was a complete and total honor. Incredibly gracious with his time. I almost had to pinch myself as it isn’t that often you get ...

Re: 2022 Season
Also interested how this affects the play in games. Hoping the NCAA doesn’t go the cheap route and have two east coast teams play each other and get the worst seed cuz it’s more cost efficient, but rather honor the regular season results. Could lead to a Princeton vs GCC/WWPA play-in to get to fina...

Princeton 13 Fordham 12. Great game if anyone has ESPN plus and has time to kill before House of the Dragon starts. Knez was fantastic in the cage and Princeton’s drop on Gross/Loupakis was executed well.

Re: 2022 East Coast Rankings
No mention of and/or stats listed for Fordham's Nir Gross. Does anyone know of his status and if he played against Harvard? Fordham fell to Harvard at the Bruno Classic. I still believe if Nir is healthy, Fordham will beat Harvard later in the season. Fordham definitely did not have their full rost...

Re: Cal State Fullerton
The rule change that should happen is bringing back the two point shot outside seven meters. It was eliminated for reasons that at best remain unclear. It does three things which are desperately needed to enhance television viewing: -Opens up the entire pool. Especially at two-meter since the penalt...

Re: Vargas Announces Retirement
A quick look at some of the other Mens Sports at Stanford shows that it is possible to bring in foreign athletes. I didn't look at every Mens team at Stanford, but took a look at 5 just for reference. Tennis has 3 foreign players, Soccer has 1 (plus 2 players born in Ghana, who went to high school ...

Re: Predictions for 2022
Fordham just added a pretty big transfer to add to all the underclassmen talent they have coming back.

Fordham is through as well. 9-6 over Navy. I’ll be honest someone must have started cutting onions while I was watching the last couple minutes of this one.

Re: Need your help to reopen Asphalt Green in New York
Just as an update, opening the pool is beginning to get political support. It would be great though if the water polo community could keep weighing in and sign the petition. As many folks who live in New York City know, they are one of the few places that offer youth water polo. I have always believ...

Need your help to reopen Asphalt Green in New York
Hello!!! I know it has been awhile and me not being around here has much more to do with just working too hard and trying to turn my daughter into the next Brenda Villa! Trust me, I still love the sport of water polo and would love to find the spare time to begin covering it again. I miss chatting w...

Re: WPP Update
All of the above would be great additions or returns. For me I'd like more analysis stuff. - I'd kill to have a Dante vs Dejan discussion - YouTube or article format. - Maybe Trevor can quit his day job and write weekly articles on what happened in the NCAA the past weekend. - The college scores we...

Watching the UCLA-USC game on Pac 12 network. They just announced the third place and championship games of MPSFs will be on the Pac 12 network! Check your cable provider. I know I have to order the "sports" tier to get the Pac 12 networks.
