Per CSTV (and the NCAA), the following teams have been invited to participate in the 2007 Mens Waterpolo Championship at Stanford University on December 1-2. USC CAL LMU NAVY In the first game, the University of Southern California (18-2) will play Loyola Marymount University (13-15) at 3:00 p.m ES...

Re: MPFS/ NCAA births
Anteaters win to go to finals. WOW! Without knowing the result of the SC game, it seems as if Cal and the winner of tomorrow's championship game will go to NCAAs. Right? Unfortunately, I think that is wrong. CAL needs USC to win the MPSF Championship game to go to the NCAA Tournament. USC appears t...

I agree with Trevor. USC is in the NCAA tournament with a win or if they lose tomorrow. Cal will get the at-large if USC wins the tournament. I also think USC has wrapped up the # 1 seed whether they win or lose. UCI needs to win tomorrow to move into the NCAA's and I expect them to play like their ...

If CAL and USC finish 1-2 in the tournament, then they both will go to the NCAA IF CAL finishes 2nd, and anyone other than USC wins then CAL gets the at-large bid If USC finishes 2nd, and anyone other than CAL wins the tournament...then there will be a serious discussion. I think USC will get the no...

Mod, Please expand on why you think the referee choice has a significant impact. for example, do some of these referees call games that favor Navy's or SFC's style of play? and in your opinion whick referee would SFC like to see ref their games? Goldenberg and Koganov are seasoned international FIN...

Stanford tops No. 1 Cal in sudden death The Big Splash was an amazing game under the Friday night lights of Avery Aquatic Center in Palo Alto. Top-ranked Cal led by two at halftime 6-4 but Stanford caught the Bears at 7-7 and took the game into OT. The Cardinal took its first lead 9-8 after the firs...

I have it: Round 1 Navy over Iona Brown over GW St. Francis over Bucknell Johns Hopkins over Harvard in an overtime thriller. Round 2 I have Navy beating Brown but I think the game will be really, really tight. I said this in my article, but I think the CWPA did Navy a real disservice by underseedi...

Key Games 15-18 November
MPSF predictions - CAL continues its march toward 13th NCAA Championship with a convincing win over Stanford. USC rebounds at home. The Trojans are really good, and they were a few breaks away from stealing the game at CAL. UCLA wins convincingly over Pepp only to fall against a fired up Beach squad...

Re: Easterns Referee Assignments
Heading into this weekends Easterns, with an anticipated (if seeding holds) final between St Francis and Navy, referee assignments are going to have a large impact on the final game. Keeping in mind the contentiousness of the officiating in last years St Francis-Princeton game, it will be an intere...

The UCI and Stanford game will be a good one as well. Stanford has already defeated UCI twice this season, but I like UCI in a close game at home. The games I am wavering on are LBSU - UCSB and Pomona-Pitzer - Redlands. They are both toss-ups, but UCSB showed me something last weekend, and I'm going...

Key Games - 8-11 November Weekend
The big game this weekend is #1 CAL hosting #2 USC. CAL is playing well and are very confident, while the Trojans were exposed two weeks ago by UCLA. I like CAL by 3. UCI appears to be peaking at the right time, so I have them winning both of their MPSF games. UOP gets eliminated from the MPSF Tourn...
