Hutten or Sharf
Who do you think has earned the Cutino Cup for this season. Hutten is the most dominant player in NCAA as he does the most with the least help. While Sharf is the best player on argueably the best team in the nation. Let the debate begin!
These 2 guys are amazing water polo players. Sharf can light up any goalie from anywhere but Hutten looked like a man playing with boys at MPSF--Hutten has to get the nod based on his MPSF performance but Sharf is a very close second. Also, did anyone notice Hutten was playing holeset at one end and holeset guard at the other end for a lot of the first half---what an effort

For field players, Hutton does win hands down. Although Sharf is a very close 2nd.
But what about goalies for the Cutino award? That has never happened since the award was started. A goalie like Schilling at USC has led the nation from day one in gpg average, and currently averages one whole goal less than 2nd place. Or does this award only go to offensive players.

Hutten wins this award. He has been the most dominate player hands down. He continually works with or without the ball, is dangerous in set or on the parmeter, and constantly garners double and triple teams.
Sharf had a great year, but he has not seperated himself from the rest of the nations drivers the way Hutten has from the rest of the nations hole sets.

If I were going to list a USC player, I would go Shilling or Shea Buckner.
Hutten vs. Sharf is interesting. Hutten is the most dominant player but he did miss some games. Sharf has been consistently brilliant all season long. I'm leaning Sharf. If Cal win the title, it becomes a lock for him.

krumpholtz?
come on guys... hes like a sophomore. and the award goes to seniors
and Buckner??
Kid is a good player....but r u kidding?
Shilling is a great goaltender and a good guy
but I think Hutten should be honored! Tim has been exceptional as has Sharf, but hes just another driver and not much separates him from the rest of the MPSF leaders (high scoring drivers)
Hutten is a great classy guy with much potential for the National Team and would suit him well winning this award

Krumpholtz? Buckner? If you're looking past the obvious (Hutten or Sharf) you should be looking at Mello.
Every opposing MPSF coach knew if you were in a tight contest with UCI, the ball would be put in Mello's hand in the last minute to score or create.
134 goals in the last two years and a great defender.
