Dante Dettamanti To Hold Coaches Clinic in Columbus

The Chimera Water Polo Club of Columbus will sponsor the Dante Dettamanti Coaches Clinic the weekend of Friday May 21 to Sunday May 23 at the Thomas Worthington Aquatic Complex in Columbus, Ohio.

This is an excellent opportunity for coaches of all levels to obtain top of the line coaching strategy and practice from (retired) Stanford University coach, Dante Dettamanti. Dante has been giving his clinic to national team programs all over the world and is in great demand as the top "Coach the Coaches" provider in the sport of water polo. This is also an excellent opportunity for members of Collegiate Clubs to get advanced help in making your club program a winner even if you do not have a formal coach!.

Clinic Fee for the entire clinic is $100.00 which will include a copy of Dantes book "Basics of Successful Coaching". NCAA coaches of all divisions are invited to attend free of charge.

Housing is available at Embassy Suites at a group rate of $79 per night.

Friday night-Coaches only- 2 1/2 hours, 15 minute break after first 1 1/2 hours
"Coaching tips and strategies"

Saturday Morning
1 hour-meet with coaches "Essential offensive skills"
1/2 hour-meet with players
1 1/2-2 hours- pool session/coaches and players (boys and girls)

Saturday Afternoon
1 hour-meet with coaches "Essential defensive skills"
1/2 hour-meet with players
1 1/2-2 hours pool session-coaches and players

Saturday Evening
Coaches only- 1 1/2-2 hours "Training and conditioning, practice organization"

Sunday morning
1 hour meet with coaches- "Front court offense and defense"
1/2 hour meet with players
1 1/2-2 hours pool session/coaches and players

Sunday Afternoon
1 hour meet with coaches- "6 on 5 offense and defense"
1/2 hour meet with players
1 1/2-2 hour pool session/coaches and players

Sunday evening
1 1/2-2 hour meet with coaches- Question and answer session
