What do I not know about Whittier that everyone else does?

Not trying to discredit Whittier, but it is unusual for a SCIAC team to receive such a high ranking during the preseason!

Great fun!

I like to think UC Davis will finish a bit higher, although they didn't look great in summer.

I'm not familiar with this years Navy squad, but it's been a few years since they've looked good enough to merit a #15.

Princeton and Harvard are good bets for top #20 finishes. Players from both teams played in a merged squad in California over summer, beating LBSU and OUP in the final summer tournament. There is great talent on both teams, but I'm not sure about depth.

@MZone1988: Whitter = Euros, with a squad as big as some of the DI schools. [Depth, not starters, is often the issue with SCIAC vs. DI teams.] I doubt they do as well as #12, because they aren't allowed to practice over summer and will likely get whumped during the first month of season while they get in shape. But they have the talent to be #12, perhaps even up to #9.

Air Force lost their best player to graduation. Not sure if they restock well enough to be #20.

I think UCI will do a bit better than predicted. #5 through #8 is up for grabs.

I am not impartial, but I think Bears (Cal and Brown) will wind up ranked higher than this initial rating
